On the 22nd of December, not only did the Sun move into the sign of Capricorn, but we also had a full moon, and a rare astronomical and astrological event called the Great Conjunction where Saturn and Jupiter are so close together they appear as one! Capricorn season is unique in that it straddles the fence between the calendar years. Capricorns are known for their ability to set and attain goals, and do the work necessary to get where they want to go.

No mistake that this is the time of year most of us make new diet/exercise plans for the new year- very Saturnian (Saturn rules Capricorn) of us to want to refine our most basic structures- our bodies!

Capricorn Traits

Moving from fiery Sagittarius to Earthy Capricorn can sometimes feel like an unwelcome reality check. But practical Capricorn helps us to see where we are, so that we can clearly see where we want to go.

The key phrase for Capricorn is “I use” meaning that you are aware of the tools you possess and have the knowledge of the best way to use them
to achieve your ambitions.

Capricorn Stones

Here are some of my favorite crystals to help bring out your best Capricorn qualities.

Garnet for Capricorn

Wearing Garnet promotes truthfulness, awareness and commitment, all positive Capricorn qualities. It is also helpful for forming friendships and partnerships.

Lapis for Capricorn

Lapis is known as a stone of mastery and wisdom- the goals of all Capricorns.  It also inspires warmth and cooperation, something that Capricorns could use a little help with.

Turquoise for Capricorn

Turquoise is protective and calming, allowing ambitious Capricorns to better handle any obstacles in their path. It also promotes flexibility and open-mindedness, which is helpful for Capricorns not to get
too focused on one thing.
