Do me a favor, and indulge me for just one second….
I want to get a tiny bit nerdy about the astrology of this moment.
The combination of the spring equinox yesterday, the new moon today, and the movement of several planets into new astrological signs is all but screaming
the message that we are all entering into totally new territory!
Spring is always a symbol of a fresh start, but this year, there's a whole lot
more energy going on than normal!
(Scroll all the way down to get dirty on the planetary details;)

So, I don't know about you, but I am really feeling the need to let some things die so something new can be born.
I've had a new collection brewing for over a year now,
but it's just not coming together like I imagined it. Something is missing, and I'm realizing I need help to make it match my vision. Rather than do my usual head-bang-against-wall thing, I am focusing on calling in the right people to help me get it produced.
It wants to be born, but not unless I am willing to let something go.
What needs to die is my attachment to doing EVERYTHING myself.
Can anyone relate?

This is totally new territory for me, both scary and exciting!
I'm working on letting go of my lone wolf tendencies and opening myself to new
creative, collaborative, counterparts.

The collection is not ready yet, and the final product may be a totally different,
but I feel it's time to finally share this with you!

Ok, here is a little sneak peak of what I've been working on….
I'd love to know what you think!
Leave a note in the comments and let me know what you think!

As you know, yesterday was the Spring Equinox, marking the first official day of spring and the point of equality between day and night. For most of history, this day marked the beginning of the new year. To me this makes so much more sense than January 1st!
because equinox always coincides with the sun moving into the sign of Aries,
the first sign of the zodiac.
Aries represents the principle of assertion, spontaneity and the instinctual
urge to express yourself.
Think of the first shoots of green grass, bravely coming out of the cold ground in spring.

Not only is the New Moon in Aries (which also signifies a new cycle) happening at the same time, it's also at 0 degrees which is another astrological symbol for the initiation of a new cycle. Additionally, Saturn, the planet of time, hard work and maturity, is at the first degree of Pisces, starting a new 12 year cycle. In a few days Pluto, the planet of transformation, death and rebirth, is moving into Aquarius for the first time in about 250 years! Don't want to bore you to death with all the details, but I just want to point out the overwhelming and unusual planetary symbolism for endings and beginnings happening around the equinox this year.
The planetary symbolism of the Equinox sets the tone for the next 12 months.
The message is clear, expect change.

Many energies that have been in play for several years are coming to an end over the next few weeks. We are in a big transition, and I'm sure you can feel it expressing itself somewhere in your life. I have been envisioning myself in the curve of a road, knowing that I am headed somewhere, but still yet unable to see what lies ahead. What I tell myself, and what I hope is helpful to you if you are in a similar situation,
is to set down what is heavy, and enjoy this space of unknowing before the path straightens out.
Most importantly, trust that the path can only lead you where you where you intend to go.
