Turquoise for Calming and Grounding

The sun left Virgo on September 22, which means we are well into Libra season by now ( I know, I'm late!). Following the Fall Equinox, Libra is the true sign of autumn, when the length of the days and nights come into balance. Libras love balance and harmony, but because they always see both sides of everything, they are often indecisive. If you have been out to eat with a Libra friend, you know what I am talking about!

 

Last month, I launched a new collection featuring Turquoise, so I have had Turquoise on the brain lately. Let’s be honest, I almost always reach for turquoise first! (You can read all about the history of Turquoise in jewelry making here.) As is turns out, Turquoise is often associated with the sign of Libra. Maybe that’s why I like it so much? I’m an Aries, Libra is opposite Aries, opposites attract….anyway….

Although the traditional birthstone for October babies is the opal, when choosing birthstones based on the Zodiac, there are a lot of options. Some other common Libra stones are; Tourmaline, Ametrine (which is a combination of Amethyst and Citrine) and Lapis.
